From Hurt and Harm to Hope and Heal: Remedies of Love, Liberation and Luminosity An Educational, Inspirational, Transformational Day with Lora DeVore-Matz, M.S, LCSW& Naz Motayar, M.P.H., Ph.D. Saturday, October 15th, 10:00-5:00 Together, Lora and Naz will set the stage for exploring the difference between surviving challenging times or seeing them as an invitation for transmutation, profound inner growth and healing. Most people just focus on getting through trauma and stressful times. But there is another way of not just surviving but of learning and healing from every challenging experience we have. There is a mindset necessary to grow through events such as life-threatening illness, anxiety about the future, grief and loss, or traumatic events. What can we do when the past has kicked up, something we were just sure we had overcome–––and here it is, again. When we learn to consciously navigate traumatic experiences, they create a portal to a more expanded version of ourselves. Through their very initiation we will ask the most important questions. Who am I? Why is this happening to me? Why am I here? How do I heal? Can you imagine comfortably being with the gift of ALL THAT IS? Do you know how to find your way to healing through all challenges and hardships? What’s Love, Liberation and Luminosity got to do with it? EVERYTHING. These topics will frame our day and be explored through exercises and deep listening, first to yourself and then within the larger group. Join us for a day of painting the landscape of our lives with a broader brush-stroke. You will come away with concepts that can begin to change your life---no matter what and gain more insight on the importance of unconditional love and tenderness–––no matter what. The day will be facilitated in a gentle, loving and exploratory way by Naz and Lora who have walked this path before you.
