In this exciting class, Jackie will show you how to make your own cold brew, briefly review the history of coffee, and show you how to organize a breakfast or brunch that would pair nicely with the specific cold brew roast that you’ve made. Excited to see you all there! A $5 materials fee reserves your spot! Materials (including a reusable coffee sock, mason jar, and coffee) will be provided and each participant will leave with a freshly-brewed jar to enjoy later! Virgo Rising began in January of 2022 with Jackie Gibbons’ drive to create the same beautiful experience and cozy atmosphere you get in most coffee shops, but with a focus on sustainability. Out of the many coffee shops, she had visited, few (if any) had any environmental practices in place. Right from the beginning, Virgo Rising has been a business that strives to be more eco-friendly through not only the coffee shop being vegan but also by using compostable packaging and cutting back on unnecessary materials (business cards, sleeves, etc.).
