Dear Parents, My name is Spencer Martinelle, a senior Fiji at Hanover. We are planning to host a parent’s day on Saturday, November 19th. The event will start at 1 pm and there will be lunch provided around 1:30-2. Kerry, our house Chef will be providing a taco bar for the event. Waters & Sodas will be provided but please feel free to BYOB if you are wanting alcoholic beverages. Weather permitting, the event will take place mostly on our back patio where music, cornhole, and laughs will be shared. We will also hold a silent auction inside as well as a few more fundraiser festivities to entertain us throughout the evening. The silent auction was our biggest fundraiser of the year; we raised over $1,500. This money allows us to do fun activities such as bowling, paintballing, and numerous other fun events as a chapter. We ask that parents bring baskets for other parents to bid on. Ideas from a few years ago are an IU sports fan basket and a basket containing ingredients for the perfect Bloody Mary. Some other popular ideas include scratch-off lottery cards, game tickets, spirit wear, gift cards, and wine. The possibilities are endless, so feel free to use your imagination! There is no end time scheduled for the day but wanted to get going a little earlier so that we could enjoy as much time in the sunlight as we can!
