Vitis Vinifera, the species of grapes that makes nearly all of the world’s great wine, originated somewhere is western Asia and quickly spread throughout Europe along Mediterranean trade routes. From there, vines would be propagated around the world, on every continent but Antarctica, everywhere conditions are suitable, and while we may first associate great wine with Europe or possibly the west coast of America, the Southern Hemisphere has increasingly been producing wines of great distinction and merit. In this class, Laura Botten will proffer examples of some of the finest Southern Hemisphere wines, Expect a broad range of flavors and styles to delight your senses, spanning locales as diverse as Argentina and Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. Join us for this exciting taste of wines from the Southern Hemisphere. Must be 21+ to attend.
