“Mommy, where can we run to?”
–A young Rwandan boy named Alex, and his family faced genocide. He would lose
everything, all of them. His new name, “Nsengimana” would mean “I pray to God”, and
Alex has lived up to that name in his young life. His story goes from miraculous escape
to receiving an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift. That gift became a catalyst of
hope from God, and from that moment, his life changed course; he would go on to start
a church that would reach out in forgiveness to the very people who killed his family.
