Besides original music, their set often includes music by various diverse artists, including Wilco, NRBQ, Antsy McClain, Johnny Cash, The Mavericks, John Prine, The Cure, and last but not least, Elvis. Patrick’s latest release, My Hometown, includes songs based on or inspired by his hometown of Livermore, California. The song "Seven Sisters" tells the story of the seven hills outside of town that were once a place for people from town to go joy-riding. The song "If or When" was inspired by the sanitariums that once operated in Livermore, and the emotions that people felt when dropping their loved one off to be treated for illnesses such as tuberculosis. One song pays tribute to Livermore's beloved donut shop, "Donut Wheel". The EP also includes two songs co-written with Livermore's poet laureate Peggy Schimmelman, "My Hometown" and "Get Me Back to Livermore". Patrick’s sound is Celtic-tinged Americana, somewhere between Country and Folk. His music is available worldwide on digital platforms under his full name, Patrick Noel Russ. He regularly performs with “Patrick Noel & The Lucky Sevens”, as part of a duo “Patrick and Leanne”, and in the Celtic rock band “CaliCeltic”.
