Gregg Drilling is hosting a 4-hour training seminar for geotechnical and environmental field staff and technicians. Training will include: Coffee & light breakfastRotation through six instructional stationsHands-on demonstration of field techniques with various equipmentInstruction by industry experts: Dr. Peter Robertson (CPT) & Dr. Richard Laton (Soil sampling & logging)Catered lunch before you go!Hearing & eye protection provided. Please bring a hard-hat (extras will be available)The morning instructional seminar is designed to aid field staff in familiarizing themselves with various site investigation techniques. They will learn how each piece of equipment is used in specific situations or soil conditions. Problem solving techniques and on-site decision making will also be discussed. Topics covered include: Cone Penetration Testing, seismic & additional modules. Instructor: Dr. Peter Robertson.Soil classification, auger & rotary drilling. Instructor: Dr. Richard Laton, Cal State FullertonMiHPT and High resolution site characterization (HRSC). Instructor: Brandon Moses, Gregg DrillingIn Situ bioremediation techniques & best practices for anoxic water prep and microbial injections. Please park near the back equipment yard @ 2718 Gaviota St., Signal Hill. Event will be outside so please prepare accordingly based on the weather forecast, event will go on rain or shine.
