4:45- 5:45PM – Flamenco Basics ‘por Tangos’ (in the rhythm of Flamenco Tangos) This is an ALL ages Flamenco class geared towards learning the elements of arm work ‘braceo’, foot work ‘zapateado’, basic rhythm movements ‘marcajes’, and ‘palmas’ hand clapping rhythms in sync with the ‘Tangos’ rhythm. Everyone welcome! No previous experience necessary. Join the fun! Drop in: $25six weeks series discount : $111 Cristina Moguel has over 20 years experience dancing in theaters in Spain, New York, Mexico, and touring most of the United states with the Flamenco Vivo Dance company. While in New York, she danced in “Carmen” at the Metropolitan Opera, NYC. A native Angelina, Cristina currently performs with Flamenco Flavor dance company in New Jersey, as well as, performing with local Flamenco artists throughout Southern California with her dance group Urban Flamenka. She resides in Los Angeles and will be now sharing her love for flamenco dance teaching at Corazon Performing Arts in Topanga, CA.
