This particular event is limited to Centennial High School Students ONLY and only occurs when school is in session. Alateen, part of the Al-Anon Family Groups, is a fellowship of young people whose lives have been affected by alcoholism in a family member. We believe alcoholism is a family disease that affects all the family members emotionally and sometimes physically. We come together to support one another by sharing our experience, strength and hope. Although we cannot change or cure our parents, we can detach from their problems and continue to love them. We focus on the solution to our problems. We do this by applying the Twelve Steps to ourselves which in turn helps us to grow mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Alateen gives us a wonderful, healthy program to live by and enjoy.
