I'm posting this as an existing courier, seeking a few more drivers to join our team. Our boss who holds the contract is located in Missouri and has had a hard time vetting new drivers in the Portland area. We're anxious to get some new drivers by winter, so I'm giving it a try. Our job runs 5am-Noon weekdays, with 2-4 drives between Gresham and a few locations in Portland. We use our own vehicles. This requires either a van or a large vehicle that can carry similar volume. Several of us have mini vans, which work perfectly as we transport a volume of mail between locations. We're seeking drivers who live within 15 minutes of NE Halsey and 181st, our starting hub. We work in teams, always a driver and rider. The work days are fairly flexible between each of us on the team, which helps if you need a supplemental side job, need a day or week off, or prefer to work just 2 mornings per week. The job requires a federal background check. No felonies on your record. This is actually a great job for retirees, Uber drivers or self employed folks who could use a little weekly extra $. Some lifting--approx 20lbs. We're paid as independent contractors, with direct deposit each week. The drivers receive more compensation than the riders, considering the gas.
