Updated at 8:30 p.m. BRADENTON, FL — A portion of U.S. 41/1st Street West has reopened after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash shut it down for several hours Sunday evening, according to Bradenton police. Police first tweeted about the accident, which took place in the 100 block of 1st Street West, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. At the time, only the southbound lane remained open as police and other emergency workers responded to the accident. Because of the lane reduction, police said that drivers should "avoid the area if possible and watch out for officers." Around 8:08 p.m., police gave drivers the all clear, tweeting that the roadway had reopened. Like what you're reading?
