Quarantine Staff Mary's Dogs Rescue & Adoption Northwood, NH Mary's Dogs Rescue & Adoption is growing and we are looking to add to our Quarantine Staff. Every other week a transport arrives full of dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes. We quarantine them throughout the weekend, they are checked out by our vet and then we send them off to their furever homes! Quarantine worker responsibilities include providing direct care for the dogs that includes cleaning of crates and dogs, outside walks and play, feeding, and lots of love and affection. Other responsibilities: ~ Provide observations about the health and behaviors of dogs, escalating issues as needed ~ Set up/break down of crates in preparation for arrival of transport ~ Laundry ~ Sweeping/mopping of quarantine area with each shift ~ Following quarantine protocol ~ Other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Demonstrates a high level of interest in the welfare, health and proper handling of animals. Ability to restrain and handle animals of all sizes. Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly. Ability to work independently as well as be a team player. Enjoy keeping animals and crates clean. Must be able to lift and carry 40+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day without assistance. Must be detail oriented with a nurturing ability to care for confused, sometimes anxious animals that are victims of abuse and neglect. The ability to effectively communicate with adopters, volunteers and staff as well as interact with the general public in a courteous and professional manner is required. This position is ~20 – 25 hours per week, weekends and holidays are required. Hours will vary weekly. Quarantine shifts are 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
