SUMMARY This position is responsible for shipping/receiving, general material handling activities and supporting the Lettershop operation as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Loading and unloading of tractor trailers • Maintain overall housekeeping of the plant • Delivering and removing of materials from production areas • Issuing materials to lettershop machines • Returning and receiving material back in from Lettershop machines • Following all inventory control procedures • Administer proper paperwork for all procedures • Follow all safety policies during shift activities • Communicate with Warehouse Supervisor and/or 2nd Shift Production Supervisor regarding material issues and general inventory issues • Operate Clamp Truck • Operate Fork truck • Operate Electric Pallet Jack • Operate stretch wrap machine, strappers, scales, and general material handling equipment • Understand inventory process to determine the number of materials needed and timing of delivery • All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general information and reports. All documentation, work orders, and Standard Operating Procedures are in English. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION – Powered Industrial Equipment usage will be trained, tested, and certified upon hire.
