JOB DESCRIPTION Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital is a 24-hour Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital located in South Austin, Texas. We are seeking two enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivated Housekeepers/Janitors to join our well-established, 24-Hour Emergency and Specialty Practice Hospital. The ideal candidate will have the following: -Be a team player who is friendly, compassionate, people-oriented and has excellent communication skills -Be able to work with different personalities and be flexible with their schedule. Have a positive attitude. -Take initiative and be self-motivated. -Be able to multi-task and maintain excellent time management skills. -Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. -Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during an 8-hour shift. -Any allergies to animals must be controllable through medication. Applicants will be responsible for the following: -Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, laundry throughout the hospital. -Maintain hospital cleanliness, both inside and outside. -Stock housekeeping supplies as needed. -Cleaning of restrooms multiple times/day. -Cleaning up animal urine and feces as needed. Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience required.
