Job Summary & Essential Responsibilities: Provide direct supervision & technical guidance to Equipment Operators and Groundmen performing maintenance & construction on underground utility projects. PROFICIENT in reading and interpreting site plans, construction prints/drawings and scopes of work. Responsible for coordinating essential personnel on-site for the project to include crew mobilization, subcontractors, traffic control, etc. Efficiently manage all supplies, materials and equipment necessary to complete assigned work. Assist with planning, directing and budget activities concerned with the completion of underground utility construction projects. Maintains company equipment in accordance with company standards and in safe working condition Qualifications 3-5 year minimum experience in fiber optic installs Possess High School Diploma or Equivalency. Must possess and maintain a clean driver's abstract and a valid license. 100% travel necessary for this position Combination of work experience and/or technical training in an industry-related trade certification or education program. Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment required for the job in a safe manner Strong knowledge of construction documents Must be able to track and communicate daily production and materials. Must be capable of handling logistics and crew assignments Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders, interpret stakeholders' needs, and identify solutions Ability to work with little supervision, while adding to a safe and positive team environment is a must Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
