I need to rehome my 5 year old Shih tzu. He was adopted from a rescue last year who lied about the severity of his health conditions. I have done all I can in this past year to try to stick it out but he needs much more care than I can provide. He has KCS (dry eye) in both eyes and glaucoma in the left eye. He is now blind in both eyes, per vet recommendation he needs to have both eyes removed. He also has several teeth that need to be removed. He is very sweet and playful with other humans, from my experience with him outdoors he doesnt do well with other dogs (I assume because he cannot see). Until his eyes can be removed he is on medication monthly to try to reduce infections and stabilize his eye pressure. I am not asking for anything to rehome him, just someone who has the financial means and mental capacity to take care of his needs.
