Click here to see what our mechanics do: This Is What We Do - Maintenance (vimeo.com) POSITION OVERVIEW: IDS is currently looking for a hardworking, mechanically inclined person to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will perform repairs and maintenance work on all IDS equipment, including heavy duty Aircraft De-icing trucks, light duty pickup trucks, and passenger vehicles. BENEFITS: • Medical / Dental / Vision / PTO / 401k • Employer Paid Life Insurance / Employer Paid Long Term Disability • Employer Paid Training (OJT) and OEM factory training for De-icing Trucks • 2 Weeks' Vacation • Employee Discount Program • Paid Holidays RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform maintenance on all IDS equipment, including heavy duty truck components, hydraulic systems, electrical systems and sensors, and fluid pumping systems • Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs. • Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records and conduct preventative maintenance and inspections of equipment • Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the work area. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: • Must be 18 or over and possess HS diploma or completion of GED and professional experience • Valid US driver's license. • Must possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new skills. • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, or heavy duty truck systems is an asset • Must possess basic hand tools common to the trade up to 1/2" drive. • Basic welding and fabrication skills • Successful completion of required airport badging process • The Inland Group of Companies maintains a drug-free workplace and, as such, all candidates and employees can expect to participate in our drug testing program. • Basic computer skills Apply at: PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently. • Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to, or in excess of 50 pounds. • Employees must have the ability to climb 15-foot heights for work. • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Exposure to weather conditions prevalent at all times. • The noise level in the work environment is excessive at times.
