Company Description: Dallas Automatic Gate has been doing business since 1994. We have, and continue to service customers all over the Texas market, primarily in DFW. Our services include gates, fencing, access control, entry systems, cameras, and parking systems. We are focused on providing the right solution for each customer based on their needs and budget. Dallas Automatic Gate provides design, build, and install for all fence, gate, and access control systems. We are happy to perform a turnkey solution or provide the expertise to install and maintain existing components. We offer scheduled maintenance to reduce the downtime of any access control system (gates, door locks, etc) as well as keep our customer’s fence line and gate clean and functional for years to come. We also provide on call service on an as needed basis. Dallas Automatic Gates headquarters is located in Mesquite, Texas. We have been here since our inception in 1994. DAG works with all client types including commercial, residential, municipal, and federal to name a few. No job is too small nor too large for our team. We have been around almost three decades due to our communication, versatility, and ability to exceed our customers’ expectations. The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Gate Technician/Installer to maintain, service, and install gate automation, entry systems, and gates. This is position requires prior industry experience. The pay rate is based on experience. This position is not for individuals looking to get into the industry or with limited exposure to automatic gates and access control. Please do not apply if you have no experience in this industry. Job consists of servicing and installing gates, gate entry systems, and access entry, for commercial and residential customers. Prior knowledge of DKS, Apollo, High Security, Liner, Elite, FAAC, All-O-Matic, and other industry brands is a must. Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, trouble shooting, servicing, and some estimating, for the above mentioned tasks. Ensuring the quality and timeliness of service calls. Will require knowledge of ASTM & UL325 codes as pertains to gates. You will be assigned a vehicle and if possible will take home every night. Depending on the work for the day/week you may not have to come into the office every day, but instead go straight to the job or a vendor for product/material. If you cannot bring the vehicle home, DAG can accommodate accordingly. Responsibilities Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatch Skilled customer service, have appropriate presentation Customer facing Cleanliness Learn remote service software used by DAG and become efficient and effective with it Capture all work in remote service software including signatures, notes, pictures, and some payments Must have knowledge in gate operators, gate installation as well as phone entry installation/repair and general access control. Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions Produce timely and detailed service reports Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols Cooperate with technical team and management to share information across the organization Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings Build positive relationships with customers Requirements Proven field service experience Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment English literacy Welding Experience (preferred) Familiarity with mobile tools and applications High school diploma or GED Must have a clean driving record and reasonable background Must be clean and presentable to customer and have appropriate construction attire (steel/composite toe boots, dark jeans, etc) Must have installation and troubleshooting tools Experience: Automatic Gate Technician, 2 years (Required) Loop and UL device installation/troubleshooting, 2 years (Required) Access control install and troubleshooting, 2 year (Required) Gate & Fence install/repair, 2 years (Required) Mobile technician, 2 years (Required) Welding, 1 year (preferred) What’s in it for me?
