A 30 year old Lake Oswego / Portland OR Construction Company needs a talented self-motivated individual. We have a solid group of about 10 employees that work very closely together in creating some of the nicest work in the Portland Area. If you take pride in your work we would like to talk to you. We have won many awards over the years for our design and construction. We are not looking for just anyone, we are looking for someone that can solve problems and be part of the team. Other job duties would be. Able to read plans and understand layout of walls, door openings, windows, cabinets, etc. Keep job site neat, clean, safe and organized. Strong understanding of residential carpentry. Both framing and finish carpentry. Must have your own hand tools. Contractor will provide chop saw and other stationary tools. Computer skills required – email and Excel. At least 6 years of carpentry experience. Understanding of custom work. Your input to solve problems is required. Must be able to work as a team with others. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. We work on the waterfront, boating knowledge and safety are helpful. Maybe self-directed at times and have the ability to handle several ongoing projects at one time. Drive small trucks with trailers to pick up and deliver materials in the Portland area. A valid driver’s license and your own transportation are required to work at this company. The pay range for this position is $18 - $22 an hour. This is a nonsmoking / drug free company that requires both a drug test and a DMV check. A good driving record is required by our insurance company.
