SIGN FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION SPECIALIST MRJ Sign Company LLC. is an independently owned and operated commercial electric sign shop located in Ortonville, MI. Specializing in the design and manufacturing of custom built signs, our expertise in channel letters, freestanding monument and pylon signs, architectural signs, and LED message center displays have been celebrated by our customers throughout the state of Michigan and across the nation. As our motto states, “We don’t just build signs, we build business!” Currently we are seeking a full-time Fabrication and Installation Specialist to assist us in meeting our growing demand. RESPONSIBILITIES: Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated fabricator and installer who is punctual, precise, and efficient in every task they assume. Candidates must have experience within the realms of construction or the sign industry to be considered for this position. The Sign Fabrication and Installation Specialist must be a responsible and attentive aid who ensures the proper fabrication and installation of multiple types of signage projects. You will be expected to ensure the cost-effective, safe, and timely completion of sign fabrication and installation on service job sites. It is paramount that you have a respect and understanding for the safe operation of aerial equipment, sign footing excavation, wiring of signs, power tools, and PPE, per MRJ Sign Company LLC.’s safety policy. This position also occasionally requires flexible hours that may be extended beyond 40 hours per week in order to complete certain projects, often within, but sometimes outside of the borders of the state of Michigan. Said projects and their necessary scheduling will be disclosed well in advance of their impending deadline. The ideal candidate will have previous installation, construction, and fabrication experience as well as having a valid Chauffeur's License, or the capacity to obtain one, a positive attitude, respectful demeanor, and passion for working intentionally with their hands. We are a small crew of dedicated, professional sign specialists who approach every signage project according to its unique requirements for completion. First and foremost: we are a team that coordinates together and communicates clearly. Our ideal candidate will respect all team members and thrive by working in close harmony with our Owner Operator, Designer, and Lead Fabrication and Installation Specialist. While fabricating and installing signage requires a great deal of expertise and knowledge, we believe that anyone with mechanical aptitude, a passion for craftsmanship, and strong work ethic will be able to adapt quickly and thrive. Applicants can apply by sending a resume and brief statement of interest to [email protected] QUALIFICATIONS: -Relevant experience in a comparable installation, construction, or fabrication industry required, 1+ years. -Posses a positive attitude with capacity for superb customer service skillsets. -Must have a high attention for quality fabrication and be detail oriented. -Excellent mechanical aptitude. -Must be able to lift 75 lbs. -Must have a valid Chauffeur's License or ability to obtain one. -Be able to pass a background check. -Must be comfortable working in high environments: ladders, bucket trucks, scaffolding, roofs and sides of buildings. -Occasional travel within the state and beyond is required. All travel, lodging, and food expenses are paid. JOB HIGHLIGHTS: -Weekly Compensation -Paid Holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas) -Sign Specialist Certification (following 2 years) -Wealth of diverse and unique sign fabrication and installation experiences JOB TYPE: Full-time PAY: $15.00 per hour starting wage with an opportunity for an increase of up to $17.50 per hour following a 90 day review. SCHEDULE: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. EXPERIENCE: Relevant experience in a comparable installation, construction, or fabrication industry, 1+ years required. LICENSE / CERTIFICATION: Chauffeur’s License or ability to easily obtain one is required. WORK LOCATION: Primarily 256 Narrin Street, Ortonville, MI, 48462, in addition to multiple job site locations throughout the state of Michigan and at times, the Midwest.
