Hope Woods is a residential senior community in Kalamazoo/Oshtemo Township. We are looking for a Building Maintenance/Grounds Floater. This individual must be able to float between general building maintenance tasks and groundskeeper duties as needed and directed by the Property Manager, as well as work closely with the Maintenance Technician. Experience preferred but willing to train if needed. Must be willing to learn and take direction. Responsibilities will include: Daily trash removal from the building Daily grounds clean-up/remove litter and empty exterior garbage(s) Completing unit service requests Assisting with unit and property inspections Maintaining all equipment and shop areas Shoveling snow from walkways and entrances Spreading salt on walkways and entrances to prevent ice buildup Planting grass, flowers, trees and shrubs if needed Cleaning out drainage ditches and culverts Making minor repairs to lawn equipment Maintaining a positive attitude which supports teamwork and productivity Good communication skill is essential Any other task as directed by Property Manager Individual must have the ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 100lbs Competitive wages based on experience.
