We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician Lead to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises for BNSF Railway. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter. This person will be expected to work on any maintenance tasks that need completed. We are looking for someone with verifiable experience in commercial electrical and HVAC service & diagnostics, however, you will respond to a variety of work orders and be required to perform maintenance tasks such as painting, electrical, plumbing, basic maintenance tasks, etc. This position requires a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. Job Duties include but are not limited to: · Ability to work with customer in professional manner · Respond to work orders in a timely manner · Work with employee(s) and/or subcontractors to get work orders completed · Complete fueling maintenance work orders monthly (this is separate from day-to-day work orders received) · Turn in all paperwork in a timely manner · Ability to travel to various sites when needed All candidates must be able to pass a background check as part of the training for BNSF Railway subcontractors. Preferred: Construction experience is a plus Plumbing, welding fabrication, painting experience is a plus 5+ year maintenance experience Computer skills Required: 2+ years verifiable HVAC service & diagnostic experience 2+ years verifiable commercial electrical experience 2+ years verifiable supervisor experience Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or equivalent Availability to work overtime and weekends when urgent or emergency work orders are received from BNSF Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as needed Ability to lift items weighing up to 80 pounds Ability to work at heights of 20 feet or above on aerial boom lifts Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time Ability to communicate with fellow coworkers, supervisors, and customers in a professional manner Must complete eRail Safe (background check included), Contractor Orientation, and all other required safety trainings within 7 days of hire Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn whenever on Railway property Comply with all safety guidelines, procedures and PPE requirements at all times Read and interpret manuals, schematics, work orders and other equipment documentation Comfortable working independently and as a member of a team
