Description
Aloha!
My name is Lana, and I’m looking for a pottery mentor and educator who would be willing to trade for their time and studio/kiln space.
I am a beginner, but I’m considering it as a career path, either on its own or to supplement other work. I’m interested in wheel throwing and slab work - I like building things, so slab work is very appealing to me. I would love to make colorful, practical objects inspired by nature like plates/bowls/mortar and pestle/etc as well as useful decorative items like candle holders/lamp shades/pots/knobs/etc.
I would like to work trade for as much as I can. I have money for material goods like clay and glaze that I would use, but again ideally the education would be trade. My skills I could trade would be: administrative tasks, cleaning or yard work, light handywoman work, sales time (if you do fairs or have a store), painting, etc.
I live in Wailua and work on the north shore, so somewhere in that range would be ideal. But that’s not a hard limitations.
If you are interested, know someone who might be, or just have some advice for an aspiring potter, please reach out via phone/text!
Thank you for your time 😊
Lana
