Description

Thursday, October 6, 2022 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Instructor: Robert Bowden  You don't need a farm to grow fresh vegetables. Come to think of it, you don't really even need a garden. Plant breeders know that after taste, home gardeners want a high yield in a small space, so they've been developing more varieties that can grow in a small foot print or even live in containers all year long.  Join Robert Bowden and five star rated Amazon.com author in this informative presentation on small space gardening.   Robert Bowden recently retired as Executive Director of Leu Gardens after nearly three decades. Earlier in his career he was the Executive Director of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Director of Horticulture of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, and Assistant Director of Old Westbury Gardens on Long Island. He is the author of many books including Florida Fruit & Vegetable Gardening: Plant, Grow, and Harvest the Best Edibles and the Florida Top Ten Garden Guide. He also teaches several horticulture classes in the Science Department at Valencia State College. Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit.  If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit. Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom.  Childcare services are not provided.
