Description
Fusion Community! Join us for our social Fall Outdoor Community Potluck & Dance! Our venue is the beautiful and historic barn shelter at the Tolt McDonald Park, which serves as a wonderful covered space for this event. There are lots of trails in the park, so come early, if you'd like to explore. If the weather holds, we may head to a local corn maze after the dance. Not everyone has a car, so please carpool, if you can. We'd like to acknowledge this is the beautiful land of the Snoqualmie peoples. Saturday, October 15th, 2022 12pm - 5pm This is a FREE event. However, we are taking donations to pay for basic expenses. There are picnic tables, but bring a blanket to sit outside in the (hopefully) sun! There will be a dance floor provided by The Dance Thing. Website and Facebook Group. DJs: TBD FOOD & DRINKS Absolutely NO Peanuts! If anyone else has any deadly allergies, please let us know! Please label your dishes as best you can. NO Alcohol alowed for this event per the parks department. COVID Masks Optional HEALTH & WELLNESS If you are not feeling well or are sick, stay home and take care of yourself and others. SHOES & FLOOR We are ren ting the portable floor from That Dance Thing. No dance wax, baby powder, etc. added to the floor and dance shoes are required. This helps keep the floor more consistent and feet safer. ABOUT THE PARK The 575-acre Tolt-MacDonald Park and Campground is located in Carnation at the confluence of the Snoqualmie and Tolt Rivers in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley. Because this is high-quality salmon habit, during the fall, visitors can observe chinook salmon spawning in the river below while eagles and osprey soaring above. Beyond a 500-foot suspension foot bridge over the Snoqualmie River are 12 miles of forested and riverside trails connecting to an extensive network of trails in the adjacent Ames Lake Forest; a favorite mountain biking destination. For a bicycle tour of local farms, head in the opposite direction to access the 27-mile-long gravel Snoqualmie Valley Trail. CANCELLATION In the event of a cancellation, the organizer will send out an email to all ticket holders then issue refunds within 48 hours of the cancellation. CONTACT TRACING We are using Eventbrite for ticket sales, which collects emails. In the event we are notified someone has tested positive and for COVID and may have exposed attendees within the timeframe of the dance, we will email attendees and the person who notified us will remain anonymous.
