No artistic or skills needed because Local artist and teacher, Kathy Smith will demonstrate the easy process of transferring and painting the design on to slate. The slate is a 100+ year old 10"x18" roofing shingle The roofing slate hung on an old building before being replaced by a modern roofing system. So you'll be painting on History. A leather cord will be supplied so the finished piece is ready to hang. Make a night of it and plan to have dinner prior to painting.
