PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day activities in a given department within an industrial production plant setting. Incumbent will follow all quality control requirements per customers’ specification and company practices. Proper knowledge and use of industrial machinery required to successfully process customers’ orders is needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with Shift Supervisors/Managers in associate safety program to protect associates and assets, and prevent accidents, injuries, and damage. Perform accident investigations as needed. Partner with Shift Manager and other Production Supervisors to ensure adequate workflow throughout departments. Track performance numbers and report to management. Consolidate and analyze production measures to improve productivity and control costs. Produce Product Quality Deficiency Reports. Perform on-the-job training for new employees and other retraining when needed to improve performance. Schedule employees according to production needs; scheduling, paid time off approvals, and temp staff requests. Track absenteeism and timekeeping. Assist with payroll processing procedures as directed and needed. Provide employee coaching and development and helping resolve employee problems to build a strong team of production associates. Maintains good employee relationships and promote teamwork in the department. Empower lead associates and associates to build skills for continued improvement and development of the organization. Ensure linen quality standards are always observed. Manage daily output from a quality and quantity standpoint to satisfy customer orders. Ensure compliance with company policies and practices. Always maintains a clean and safe work area. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Competency Qualifications Ethical – Ability to demonstrate behavior compliant to a set of values and accepted standards. Leadership – Proven ability to direct others to achieve a common goal. Employee Relations – Ability to form and maintain positive employee relationships with all levels of staff. Communication – Ability to communicate with a diverse and ever-changing workforce. Skills & Abilities High School Diploma or GED equivalency required. Some college preferred. Minimum 2 years of progressive supervisory experience. Minimum 2 years of progressive industry experience in production or manufacturing plant. Ability to use a computer with Microsoft Office systems and able to learn and master technical systems and machinery to complete necessary work. Must speak and understand the English language. Must possess good verbal communication skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and Holidays. Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time up to 8 hours a day. Must be able to understand and differentiate various types of linen. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete workflow as instructed by management. Must be very organized with the ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision. Must be able to move loaded carts weighing up to 400 pounds; lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds; detect problems with the operation of laundry equipment and report to supervisory immediately.
