She also leads interpretive walks at Año Nuevo State Park as a volunteer docent/naturalist for the general public to observe the northern elephant seals. The training she received with Año Nuevo covered marine mammals of course, but also native plants, birds, wildlife, geology, the native culture of the Ohlone, and California history. She is a second-generation SF Bay Area Californian. One of her main enjoyments in life is showing off how beautiful the Bay Area is!
