October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Micah’s Place is the certified domestic violence center servicing Nassau County. In this presentation you will dive deeper into the dynamics of domestic violence and learn the vast impact of psychological abuse. Too often we utter “she’s just crazy” or “she’s nut’s, she must’ve done something to provoke him.” You will walk away understanding the deep wounds of mental abuse, how abusers weaponize words and utilize them to revictimize survivors of domestic violence.
