This is the flagship brand of the renowned La Alteña Distillery, founded in Jalisco, Mexico, in 1937 by Don Felipe Camarena. Today, Tapatio is still owned by the Camarena family, and Don Felipe's grandson Carlos continues the legacy as master distiller. Tapatio is crafted through an artisanal process and is double distilled to as close to bottling strength as possible, allowing the tequila to retain its natural character. Thanks to the Camarenas' respect for tradition and attention to detail, each tequila in the range is an expression of the authentic flavors of the agave plant. We are excited to partner with our friends at De Nux Distributors to present our fall Tapatio Tequila Dinner, where we will serve a special four-course meal, each paired with a tasting of Tapatio (Blanco, Reposado, Anejo, and Excelencia), as well as a specialty crafted cocktail featuring that tequila.
