The award-winning Detroit History Podcast is premiering its fifth season October 1st with a special listening party at Third Man Records Cass Corridor. The subject for this episode? All time boxing great Joe Louis. With interviews of Stuart Kirschenbaum, Joe Louis Jr., and Marcy Sacks: The Detroit History Podcast explores Joe Louis’ life in and out of the ring. Hosted by veteran Detroit historian and journalist Tim Kiska, listen in as Joe Louis’ punch-packed legacy is brought alive in audio form. Doors will open at 7:30 PM, the podcast listening will start at 8 PM, appetizers to be provided with a cash bar by Jolly Pumpkin Brewery.
