EAST MEADOW, NY — A teenager was hospitalized after he was hit by a car while crossing a street in East Meadow on Friday. According to police, the 13-year-old boy was crossing Newbridge Road at 7th Avenue at 5:34 p.m. when they were hit by a 2003 Toyota Corolla driven by an 18-year-old. The driver remained at the scene. The teen suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are listed in serious but stable condition. Police did not release the identity of the teen or the driver.
