Description

For fans of: Alvvays, Yuck, Radio Dept, Land of Talk, Elliot Smith, Big Thief, Helvetia, Wednesday, Granddaddy, Great Grandpa, Spirit of the Beehive, Slow Pulp, Duster Hi! We're a group of local musicians in our 20s who have been playing together consistently for several months and would like to add a drummer to the mix. We're big on music as a collaborative exercise, and value the fact that we're all able to contribute evenly to our sound as well as respectfully provide and receive feedback to one another, so ideally this would be true of you as well! We’ve got a lot of ideas with guitars/bass/synth/vox, but we’re also looking for someone who wants to help write with us and produce something reflective of all of our creativity. Bring your sticks and bring your ideas!! We like to borrow from multiple genres, and we’re interested in incorporating synths and sampling, but we’re definitely a guitar rock band at our core with two guitars and a bass player. We’ve been practicing on average 2x a week and would like to keep that up, so we’re looking for someone whose schedule and motivation can accommodate that level of commitment. In the short term, we have our sights set on recording an EP and playing shows locally in the coming months. We share a 24/hr access Puddletown practice space where we’ve got a PA, amps, and a nice jazz kit and cymbals if needed. We’re all in our 20s and are looking for someone not far off from that range. Proficiency is important, but crazy chops are not as important as us all getting along interpersonally and having a similar level of motivation to make music together. If this all sounds good to you, we’d love to hear from you, and are happy to share demos / hear anything you have recorded. Thanks!
