OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for the efficient manufacturing of high quality products in a team environment. Each person is expected to be knowledgeable in all phases of the manufacturing of our products paying particular attention to quality. As opportunities present themselves, staff is additionally involved with new product design and improvements in existing ones. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Interpretation of all drawing specifications and component identification. • Perform all set-up functions. • Continuous quality control, striving for improvement and more cost effective ways to operate. • Housekeeping and safety. • Scrap reduction. • Team player who strives for individual as well as team success. • Work as necessary to fulfill the production schedule. • Maintenance of appropriate paperwork systems, time cards, etc. • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management. • Consistently manufacture product at or better than standard times. • Successfully manufacture a limited number of product lines. • All other duties as required. The stages of manufacture are: • Saw • Punch • Panel fabrication • Panel assembly • Glazing • Shrinking • Packaging REQUIREMENTS: • High School diploma, or equivalent, desirable. • Previous manufacturing experience is desired. • Ability to read and interpret drawing specifications. • Ability to produce accurate work in a timely manner. • Mechanical aptitude and ability to do manual work for long hours. • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
