Description
Anyone welcome! Regardless of skill level! Especially I am speaking to electronic music producers whom are bored of computer music and want to do a freeform project. This is freeform all the way. There is no wrong notes. I have mastered, and when I say *mastered, I mean completely exhausted the electronic music genre, as I'm sure many of you have. If you don't believe me listen to this: https://tkrico.bandcamp.com/track/pilgrimage or this: https://tkrico.bandcamp.com/track/minos-day-in-the-sun I've done...alot it's gotten boring I wish to start playing instrumental music now. I play the clarinet, and the keyboard/piano pretty good. Not as good as you think though, I've been doing computer music a while now. I can also do mediocre on drums, and don't have a drumset. Here is what we definitely need: Drums, and bass either electric or acoustic. I'm not that picky though, and we could do both really it could work. You can do actually, an acoustic bass picked, along with a cello bowed, and that emulates an electric bass if both are in sync, -but we definitely need at least those to start. Anything else we can layer on top of that is free game. Maybe guitar, brass, strings either plucked or bowed, woodwinds, melodic percussion, vocals, and anything else I couldn't think of. If you have zero skill, but you have an instrument, please call! Or if you do have skill either way. If you are a vocalist please don't hesitate because I personally believe we need 2 or more vocalists. Preferably 3 actually. Harmonies are great, plus background vocals. Or if ya' just wanna' sing all the same melody that's fine too! -cause' that's called detuning, and widening, and it sounds better acoustically. More than one vocalist is better. Electronic instruments? One synth is o.k. If it's a real one and not just sound fonts. I recognize the need for a piano in a jazz band and electronic pianos are cool, but if anyone has a real piano let me know. Examples of real synths: The Waldorf Quantum, The King Korg a moog, etc. *For acoustic instruments bring in whatever quality, and I don't even care if you can play. As long as like... it's not a broken instrument. I'm just saying if you wanna' do fusion, those are what would work in the setting. but no drum machines, -and probably no daw's. I know you know how to record if you're reading this, as do I, but this is about playing good music together more than recording. No recording. Except from parrot! Parrot recording is APPROVED. Now, practicing, I think we would organize a spot to practice, maybe we would move from eachothers houses just so no one needs to deal with holding practice at their place the whole time. (Unlesss you want to do that in which case we will meet at your place.) Then, we would go out, do some gigs, and I don't wanna' go much further really. I don't like the recording industry we could maybe get someone to transpose our stuff to orchestra later I think that would be the best route. The record industry as we know is dirty and the internet hasn't much room anymore for music to *breathe. So, join me in the quest for music. Genre? I don't know, something jazz, something pop, something funky, something groovy. I'm open for lyric suggestions, I love songs about Christ. So, if you're interested, call me, I'll write you down, I'll write everyone I hear from down, and then in like a month I'll give some updates, and then I'll try and organize a first meeting.
