AMS/Veon is a family/veteran owned small business that installs, sells, and repairs all types of mobility devices like ramps, lifts, wheelchairs, home and vehicle modifications to assist persons with disabilities and the elderly. AMSlifts.com 252-62321zero2 Responsibilities: Assist in the installing and repair of mobility devices/modifications. That includes abilities such as: • Reading a blueprint or mechanical schematic to assist in installation of lifts and ramps. • Troubleshoot problems by observing lifts in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment; drill press, welder, etc. • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories. • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices. • Adjusts functional parts of devices. • Perform mechanical maintenance. Qualifications: We will train the right candidate with a construction/mechanical/electrical background. • Experience reading and understanding mechanical drawings is helpful. • Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, diagnostics, electrical systems, lift/elevator systems. • Proven experience as construction worker • Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods • Able to work in a team • Able to read instructions and blueprints when needed • Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written) • Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
