As a Farm Tech II with Lundberg you will perform manual, skilled, and specialized work in the area of rice and row crop production including equipment operation, equipment repair and maintenance, irrigation, and research. This position operates farming equipment during the planting and harvest seasons as required. Key Responsibilities: Operate farm vehicles and other specialized farm equipment, including those equipped with GPS guidance systems. Perform GPS leveling of fields as needed. Assist with service, repair and maintenance of farm equipment. Assist with welding and fabrication projects. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all processes and equipment related to the farm department. Perform basic record keeping and maintain accurate field notes. Assist with planting and harvest operations. Assist with the irrigation of Lundberg Family Farms owned and operated fields. There are periods of time during planting and harvest when this position is expected to work significant amounts of overtime. There also may be other periods during non-peak seasons (i.e., winter months) when there may be little or no work available. The incumbent in this position must remain flexible with work schedules. Requirements 5 years of farm experience related to rice or row crop production required. Must also maintain a valid CA driver’s license or in the state of residence and meet insurability standards of our auto insurance carrier.
