The Largest By-Volume Pre-Owned Motor Yacht Brokerage in the Pacific Northwest – complete with 5+ acres of dry land boat storage facility – located in Anacortes, WA seeks full time general worker to join our Yacht Brokerage Operations Team. Everyday there's something new to do - and there's lot's to do: Job duties include but are not limited to: □ Following directions and assisting the Yacht Brokerage Operations Manager in day to day work needs. Must be able to take direction well and be willing to learn all about boats and yachts - no prior experience needed we will train great attitudes! □ Maintain Yacht facility, office and shop by keeping facility clean, safe and orderly. □ Ability to operate a pickup truck, fork lift, lawn tools including ride-on mowers and power and hand tools. You will be trained to use a self-propelled boat moving machine called a Sea Lift that can move up to 70' boats in length to launch and retrieve yachts. □ Must be able to lift 65lbs. or more. We block boats with boat stands that weigh 65lbs and also use wooden blocks that can weigh the same. □ Ability to move about inside and outside and around boats in sometimes tight, cramped spaces like engine rooms, and wash boats up to 70' in length. □ Mechanical aptitude and some knowledge of boats or auto mechanicals is required - knowledge of boat engines, Inboard / Outboard and power systems like inverters and batteries and other boat mechanicals is preferred - but again we will train you if you have a great attitude. □ Marine experience is highly desired - capability to operate single and twin engine boats and understanding of boat systems is preferred. □ Hauling and launching boats with our Sea Lift and driving pick up truck on errands like fuel runs (must have valid driver’s license, be insurable and ability, willingness or experience to drive heavy equipment). □ Many other duties and tasks related to our facility and boats as assigned. □ Willingness to work out doors, year-round in different weather. □ Must be honest, dependable & trustworthy. □ We require and expect a positive, can-do attitude. □ Bad attitudes, addicts and grumps need not apply. □ Expect crazy days filled with lot's of different tasks and many different directions in a fast-paced business. A criminal and other background checks will be performed as a condition of any employment. This is a 40 +/- hour a week job. Possible weekends and swing shifts after training. $20 to $22.50 per hour plus benefits including health, 2 weeks paid vacation after first year and 401k depending on experience to start.
