Lucy aka Ms. Dukes is approx. 6yrs old. She has blood sugar problems and also has a small tumor above one of her eyes. She is the sweetest loving girl. Gives great kisses. Unfortunately her mate Ricky had to be put down almost a month ago due to cancer that spread and was not able to have surgery. She has been so depressed not playing and I can tell she misses him. I cannot take on another ferret and or pet right now. I’m reaching out to see if anyone with another senior ferret would want to adopt her knowing that she does have some health issues. She eats Marshall’s ferret food mixed with water (soupy) and she loves watermelon and bananas. She just needs to eat frequently so her blood sugar doesn’t drop. I think insulinoma is common in senior ferrets and can be managed. Her little tumor above her eye does not bother her. I will only give her to someone that currently has ferrets and can meet with them. She is very lonely and I just want what’s best for her.
