Barkless Service Husky with Epilepsy

Description

Is trained as a PTSD service dog but had to be retired from service because he has epilepsy. Up to date on everything but can’t be taken to public places and risk having a seizure there. Current frequency is 1 seizure every 3 months for about 20-30 seconds. I’m hoping to rehome to someone who needs a loving and gentle home companion, who doesn’t mind the cleaning. Happy to teach the new owner all his commands since he’s taught hand gestures. Perfect for anyone hard of hearing. LOW ENERGY! He’s a lazy dog so he will not be a good running companion. With the care, you will never have a better dog. He uses nose boops to get attention and doesn’t bark. Loves children and doesn’t jump on anything without permission. Sleeps in a kennel which will be provided. We love him but have to be realistic that he can’t serve the true function he was needed for. He still serves as a great medication reminder and routine keeper for anyone in need of those services. Perfect for anyone struggling with anything which causes a persons to be home bound but still physically able to care for a dog. Is 3 yrs old so he could easily live another 3-4 year before the seizures become a serious concern. I’m happy to help anyone through a gradual rehome process. $50 rehoming fee, only to make sure that you are financially responsible enough to take on a pet with medical needs.
