This event will be the proud first public event thrown by the Oasis team - a group effort among friends to create a brand new independently-produced party/dance sphere in the PDX scene. For our inaugural party, we will be teaming up with Porch (LA) and Esch (Humboldt) to create a custom party that showcases their unique sounds with the Oasis's wide-ranging and extremely electrifying dance party vision. This event will represent the Portland chapter of the "Bass Buds" tour, featuring Porch and Esch as co-headlining friends at several destinations throughout the country. The Oasis exists as a platform for friends and fans to unite and have catch-free good-spirited fun on the dance floor. A fully independent group of collaborators capable of hosting and producing self-sustaining parties, the Oasis came together from a group of motivated and passionate individuals who have never been associated with any previous camp, group, musical club, etc, and have a brand new, fresh outlook on the vibe and purpose behind the dance floors they create. The Oasis owns and operates a thundering sound system delivering over 5,000 watts of high-quality bass and clear sounds across the spectrum, and has become locally known for throwing passionate, creative events with wide-ranging, inviting, and adventurous music that spans across all EDM and non-EDM genres - absolutely anything is fair game if it can be seen as both relatable to the audience and exploratory in its own sound. As a result, the Oasis has been able to engage quickly growing support from those who have crossed its dance floors, who have become believers that the best dance floors are whichever inspire the most people to dance in excitement together. Porch: Nick Loporchio (Porch) has been the bassist since inception for Iya Terra, a prominent and ever-growing reggae-fusion band with over 500,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Iya Terra has headlined multiple national tours, played at Red Rocks, opened for most major reggae bands such as Rebelution, Stick Figure, and Damian Marley, and played at reggae festivals such as Reggae on the River and Cali Roots. He is highly gifted in the technical side of music production, and has worked with major names in the industry including iLL.Gates, Boogie T, and Ganja White Night. In 2021, Porch launched his first EP as Porch named "Sonorous", and has now released his second EP "Metanoia" in preparation for the Bass Buds tour, including his most recent notable single Not a Competition. After the release of his first EP, Porch provided support for The Widdler/Pushloop Back 2 Basics tour and performed as the primary headliner at the Eye of the Gemini festival in Humboldt county. https://soundcloud.com/porchbass https://www.instagram.com/porch.bass/ Esch : Cristian Legaspi (Esch) is producer/DJ from Eureka, CA with 10 years of experience in music production and live performance. Over this time, he has grown to become a highly respected name in the Humboldt county EDM scene. Esch has played at the last two consecutive Northern Nights festivals in Piercy, CA. He followed Barclay Crenshaw (aka Claude VonStroke) at Northern Nights this year (2022), occupying a prime position on the Bunker stage in front of an audience of several hundred fans on the opening night, as well as appearances in the Northern Nights silent disco. Esch is signed to FA Agency, the label boasting many of the largest DJs in the Philippines, and has an impressive career record of supporting reputable DJ/Producers such as Sickick and Mr. Carmack. He has also served as a founding resident artist of the Arcata theatre lounge in Arcata, CA, which could be described as the heart of the Humboldt EDM scene in 2019-2020. Esch has a dynamic musical style that ranges across the most inviting and danceable areas of psychedelic dubstep, trap, and a wide range of psychedelic bass. Berg : Cody Steinberg (Dr? Berg) is a founding member of the Oasis. Stemming from a passion for hosting and entertaining friends, Cody began the Dr? Berg project in 2020 to captivate and entertain friends at social gatherings, bringing a unique character DJ presentation to underground events as "Dr? Berg", a quack plague doctor that delivers "medicine" with an unpredictable, extremely wide-yet-flowing range of genre exploration, provocative and unusual remixes, and a commitment to adventure and musical variety largely unprecedented in the PDX electronic scene.
