Description

Paul Allen is the Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) for the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), a federal, state, and local task force focused on the prevention and investigation of International and Domestic Terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), targeted violence and explosives matters for the Palm Beach County Area of Responsibility. In this capacity, SSA Allen has led his team through multiple crisis, complex overseas intelligence operations, and the arrest of three subjects for material support to ISIS. In addition, SSA Allen is one of the primary plank holders for establishing one of the nation’s first Threat Management Teams comprised of 14 Law Enforcement Department and Agencies with the focus of targeted violence prevention including potential active shooters, school shootings/threats, stalking and workplace violence. SSA Allen joined the FBI as a Special agent in 2004 and he has spent substantially all his FBI career working on International Terrorism and WMD matters. While assigned to his first field office working JTTF matters in Los Angeles, SSA Allen was also a member of the FBI SWAT team where he served as an assaulter and a team tactical medic. In 2010, SSA Allen was promoted into management at the FBI’s WMD Directorate located in FBI HQ in Washington D.C. While in this position, he oversaw FBI WMD operations nationally and would eventually specialize in Radiological and Nuclear Response operations. In this capacity, SSA Allen co-led a White House Interagency Policy Committee responsible for drafting and implementing the USG first response plan to a radiological or nuclear terrorist threat against the homeland. Prior to his 19-year career in the FBI, Paul served 10 years in the United States military. Six of those years he worked in military intelligence while assigned to a US Army Special Forces National Guard unit. Four of those years, he served on active duty as an Air Force Office of Special Investigations Officer assigned to the Antiterrorism Specialty Team. In this capacity, Paul led specialized teams on multiple tours overseas to include combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. In addition to his career, Paul serves as a deacon at Family Church, is a graduate of their residency program, and plays an active role in men’s ministry. He has been married to his beautiful wife for two years and is enjoying being the father of three children.
