About this event Authentic Movement is a transformative Body-Centered practice rooted in Jungian Depth Psychology and Dance/Movement Therapy. In this small-group 6 week series you will experience the transformative power of this creative embodiment practice as well as explore art-therapy approaches designed to deepen your process. In this course you will: Learn about the history and form of Authentic Movement as a practice of embodied exploration and profound healing (all levels of experience welcome), and its intersections with Ancestral Healing work Utilize conscious movement, witnessing, and art-making techniques to explore your relationship to your primary ancestral lineages, their gifts, and their unresolved intergenerational traumas in order to begin to shift and heal long-standing patterns Experience been truly seen in your embodied truth. Identify and shift the emotional, psychological, and somatic barriers that prevent you from connecting deeply with yourself and with others. EveryBODY is welcome! No previous experience required. This mini-series is open to adults (18+) of any identity and level of experience. Structure: Each 2 hour session will include reflections on the week's topic, embodied experiential exercises (solo, in dyads, or with the whole group), and a traditional Authentic Movement session with transition time for journaling/art-making followed by Witnessing. The series is meant to be taken in order and within the container of a closed group. Fees: The fee for the whole series is $480 with need-based diversity scholarship available (providing a 10%-$40% discount to qualifying participants). Contact us to receive an application.
