BAY SHORE, NY — A Bay Shore restaurant announced on Sunday was closing down for 10 days after a staff member reported feeling COVID-like symptoms.
In a message on Facebook, Captain Bill's Restaurant on Ocean Avenue stated that while the staff member did not yet receive a positive test, the business was closing out of an abundance of caution.
According to the letter, only one staff member to date reported symptoms. No other employees or customers reported having symptoms of COVID-19.
The eatery hopes to reopen by Jan. 13.
"We will be taking all the necessary precautions to ensure a safe reopening on the 13th and hope to see you then," the message on social media reads.
