Bass player seeking others or band

Description

Bass player seeking others (vocalists? guitarists? drummers? Harmonica/blues harp?) who want to jam, come up with set lists, and eventually gig if the band sounds good. I’ve played on and off with a few bands over the years (that have now all fizzled out). I am looking for others who have a sense of humor and are committed to rehearsals and working out songs (while making it fun and not taking themselves too seriously). Other considerations: 1. My tastes can be eclectic (from classic rock to punk pop and new wave, rockabilly). Influences: Chicago Blues, Beatles, Stones (60s & 70s), British Invasion (Yardbirds, Animals, Kinks, Who), The Band, CCR, NRBQ, Clash, Police, Grateful Dead, Allman Bros, 60s/70s R&B/Soul, Zep. Not really into Rap or Metal but try to be open minded. 2. Sampling of songs I have played on bass with other bands over the years: Born in Chicago (Butterfield), The Shape I’m in (Band), Lodi (CCR), Treat Her Right (Roy Head), Under my Thumb (Stones), Heart Full of Soul (Yardbirds), We’ve Gotta Get out of this place (Animals), Creep (Radiohead), Mary Jane’s Last Dance (Petty), Back in Black (Winehouse), Wild Nights (V. Morrison). 3. Really hoping to find fellow travelers with great vocals who can knock those harmonies out of the park. 4. A huge plus is self-awareness and being brutally honest about how the band really sounds (and openness to ground-truthing band’s sound with playback sessions, if necessary?). 5. I’m in my late 50s and still work a day job so rehearsals on weekends are best but open to weekday evenings (Bethesda-Rockville area) 6. I don’t have rehearsal space but am aware of some options to rent space locally. Thanks for reading and give me a shout, if interested. Alternatively, I’m happy to audition for a working band if my profile seems like a good fit for your band.
