Description
About the Event: Do you have a DSLR or Mirrorless camera, but you're not quite sure what all of the buttons do? Have you had it awhile, but you're still stuck shooting in Auto mode and don't know how to , or are afraid to switch it to Manual mode? Come join local photographer Matthew Thompson for a two hour walk through Flat Rock's Huroc Park, while we discuss camera basics including exposure, composition, lighting, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, bracketing, and many other topics. Learn how to adjust all of the necessary settings in Manual Mode, but more importantly, learn why you want to know manual mode, and in what situations you should switch between Manual and one of the Auto or Priority modes. We will discuss gear, what I carry to every shoot and what I leave at home (or at the store), and answer any gear related questions you may have. While this workshop is designed for DSLR and Mirrorless owners, Phone Photographers are welcome to join, as many of the topics can be adapted to mobile photography, and we may even put a drone in the air if time permits. I look forward to getting some fresh air, taking a few pictures and discussing photography with you!
