Description

I am attempting to install a "child's zip line". I need a second pair of hands to help with climbing a ladder to wrap and tie off a cable to a tree on both ends. As a retired army special forces soldier, I have the skill and knowledge, but it takes two hands. AND I lack the strength because I am now much older, age 72. So I need some help. This is easy work and should be done in less than 4 hours. I pay 100 dollars or 25 dollars an hour which ever is greater. ( I have only my Social Security income and payment will be off the books) I would like to do this on this Thursday, but any day is good. Here is what the job looks like: 1. I will have a launch table already built. the launch table is 4 ft high. It has a 3 foot rail around it to stop the kids from falling off during use. 2. HERE IS WHERE YOU COME IN: step one: I need to anchor the cable to the tree using clamps at the 13 ft mark. (this means using a 13 foot ladder from the ground, or a 10 ft ladder from the table). 3. Step 2: I need to anchor the other end of the cable in the same way, with clamps, at about the 4 ft mark. 4. Step 3: attach a come-along and clamp to one or the other end of the cable, and tighten the cable. SKILLS NEEDED: 1. WORK FROM A LADDER 2. have some experience and knowledge of clamping wire cables using "U-Clamps". 3. have some experience and knowledge using a come-along dragging loads, getting cars unstuck, ripping out stumps, etc. In our use we will simply be tightening a wire cable. EQUIPMENT NEEDED: A 10 OR 13 FOOT LADDER OR ONE THAT EXTENDS THAT HIGH. (Sorry, I have no ladder). disclaimer: there is no workers comp for this job and you need to sign a liability waiver. IF YOU ARE NOT SKILLED AT WORKING FROM A LADDER, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. IF YOU HAVE NEVER USED A come-along or do not even know what one is, DO NOT APPLY.
