I’m a single mom looking to hire someone to help me with transportation and light housekeeping. My son is almost 12 and is pretty independent, however, I need someone responsible who can pick him up off the bus at his dad’s house in Rocky Point at 3:30pm and drive him to my place in Middle Island & stay until about 5:30pm. This person would ideally make sure my son doesn’t eat all of his snacks in one sitting and follows the house rules (takes a break from the devices once he’s off the bus, does his homework, unloads the dishwasher and takes out the dog before he relaxes in front of the TV or plays a game with his friend online). Occasionally, my son will also need to be driven to his hockey game (20 minutes from us)—I would meet you around the start of the game around 5pm or so to relieve you. If this person could also assist with a chore or two before I get home (loading the dishwasher, vacuuming, prepping a meal, etc depending on what’s needed that day)—that would be immensely helpful. My son’s care would take priority though. Gas money would be included in the weekly rate, which we would determine together. Days needed are Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday. 3:30pm-5:30pm. Start date is Oct 3rd (& that week’s Wednesday, the 5th, would be needed as well alternating from then on). Please email me if interested, and we can set up time to meet in person.
