TITLE Maintenance Mechanic COMPANY OVERVIEW We are a dietary supplement/OTC drug product manufacturer in North Orange County. Rapid automation has created the need to expand our maintenance capabilities. SUMMARY OF POSITION The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, trouble shooting, diagnosing, repairing and upgrading of production and packaging equipment used to manufacture capsules, tablets, liquids, powders and creams. We have a fully-equipped maintenance shop and all tools are provided. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform equipment repairs on production equipment and maintain them in excellent working condition • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to diagnose equipment failures • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment • Perform and document Preventative Maintenance • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Perform routine facilities maintenance • Design and fabricate small parts (3D printing, milling, welding) • Teaching machine operators the safe and correct operation, adjustment and setup of machines • Miscellaneous duties as needed EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • 3 - 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, and/or, packaging environment in the food, beverage, printing, paper/cardboard converting, medical device, biotech, health care, dietary supplement or pharmaceutical industries • High School Diploma or equivalent QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with filling, packaging, or similar equipment • Proven mechanical aptitude • Methodical problem solving skills • Ability to work independently within established guidelines • Good verbal and written communication skills; must be able to interact effectively with staff and vendors • Strong desire to learn and acquire new skills/knowledge • Machining, electrical, PLC and controls experience a plus Pay and Benefits ● $24 - $29 per hour depending on experience (plus overtime as necessary) ● Medical, Dental, Life and Vision insurance ● 401k Retirement with company match ● Paid Personal Time accrued - Paid holidays ● Tuition Reimbursement Job Type: Full-time, single shift Schedule: • 10 hour shift, Monday – Thursday (May change to Tuesday – Friday) Education: • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
