Free-jazz meets doom, drone and noise project

Description

I'm a guitarist looking to do a mostly improvised (with some structural components at times) project. I dabbled in elements of this with one of my projects Troubled Beast but the drummer moved away. We have some unreleased material with a sax player that I think sounds amazing that will eventually be released. It was all improvised and I was mainly playing more atmospheric and drone stuff with a few riffs but I'd like to play more leads with this next project. https://troubledbeasties.bandcamp.com https://troubledbeast.bandcamp.com/track/the-entirety-of I'm totally open to various forms of instrumentation. I play baritone and VI guitars so I can also cover some decent low end but having someone else to trade off with would be great either another baritone or a bassist or even maybe some synth or who knows. I'd really like to have a unique sound with this. What I'm thinking sonically. I really love the Nels Cline and Gregg Bendian cover of Coltrane's Interstellar album but imagine the guitars being more like Eagle Twin or Caspar Brotzmann with the occasional Earthless psychedelic space jam. A versatile drummer that can open up the space but can also push and have a lot of space to play with time and tempo. Sumac with less song structure and more free. I have a large room in West Oakland and a lot of recording equipment. Some common threads either sonically, conceptually or philosophically: Mute Massaker Peter and Caspar Brotzmann Sunn O))) Swans Sonny Rollins Joe Henderson Elvin Jones Coltrane Miles fusion-era Mahavishnu Orchestra (I sometimes play a double neck like John McLaughlin) Nels Cline Stephen O'Malley Oren Ambarchi Sumac Sonic Youth
